Chimps, lions, Gorillas and zebras
1st day: Arrival at the airport and transfer to a hotel. You will meet your guide, who will inform you about the trip.
2nd day: After breakfast you drive to Kibale Forest National Park, in Western Uganda. On your way you will have lunch and visit some shops. You will stay in a lodge within the park.
3rd day: You go for chimp-tracking early in the morning and guided by a professional ranger. You will meet more primates and many birds in this forest. After this chimp tracking you will have lunch and go for another walk or relax in the lodge where you also will stay the second night.
4th day: You go to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After arrival and checking in your luggage, you leave for a visit to the Katwe Salt Lake where salt is extracted
5th day: After breakfast you go for a game drive in Kasenyi sector in the north eastern part of the park. You will have lunch at the lodge and will leave for a boat trip at the afternoon at the Kazinga Channel. After this Ajabu (awesome) boat trip, you will return to the lodge and have a sunset dinner and a bonfire.
6th day: You leave to for the Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions. You might see hyenas and leopards. Keep your eyes peeled because these animals are not easy to spot, although there are many more species which are easier to see. You will have a packed lunch with you. A ranger will guide you to interesting places.
7th day: After an early breakfast, you set off on an intensive gorilla-quest. It can be a long journey because it is not always known where the gorillas are. A guide will tell you about your behaviour in the rain forest, near and around the gorillas. Once you have found them you will spend an hour with them. You will return to your lodge for dinner.
8th day: After breakfast your trip continues to one of the deepest lakes in Uganda “Lake Bunyonyi.” After this short drive, you can have lunch and enjoy the rest of this day. It is a quiet place surrounded by mountains where one can hike and enjoy the many birds in this area.
9th day: After enjoying a quiet day you will be leaving for Kampala, the capital. It is a beautiful trip that shows you much of the landscape. On the way you will have lunch in Masaka and make a stopover at the equator. You will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon or evening.
10th day: Depending on your departure time, after breakfast you will be able to visit a local market to buy souvenirs. After this you will be brought to the airport.
